Life still goes on even for those in need, during this current COVID-19 situation, we lack food, funds and volunteers and we seek your support in ensuring our beneficiares continue to receive food supplies regularly.
Due to the current COVID-19 situation, The Food Bank Singapore has experienced a drastic drop of 70% decrease in food donations. Operations and distribution activities have also been affected with dwindling volunteer involvement and food distribution activities. This precarious situation is exacerbated by a predicted increase in demand for food support as more people are placed on no-pay leave or let go with retail businesses taking a massive hit.
The Food Bank Singapore serves 360 beneficiary organisations island-wide with more than 200,000 people, and distributes close to 40,000 food bundles in a year. We need your support to ensure beneficiaries are able to receive food supplies regularly!
Our Joy In Every Bundle programme aims to provide healthier options of food donations to our beneficiaries through a door to door distribution of food bundles. We believe that a better life starts with eating better. Beside just filling tummies, we want beneficiaries to receive healthy food so they can perform better at work/school and in turn create better lives for themselves to break out of the poverty cycle.
