Our library and archive contain a large number of unique historical sources that are hard to find both locally and internationally. We aim to make these materials available to researchers. This collection includes archival records and published material related to left history, labor history, left women history and social history that are difficult to obtain outside of Turkey. We aim to provide access to our archives from all over the world. Your donation will help us to digitize History!
Our library and archive contain unique collections that every year more than 100 historians and researchers get benefits from. Although it has a very important center for information and documentation, our Foundation cannot make it available to the public due to lack of financial resources.
Our project "History Digitized" seeks to improve the accessibility of our archive. It develops a technical solution, with an intuitive interface design, to find the information and materials. It works towards the goals of improving the accessibility to our Foundation's unique archives by developing technological solutions, improving the accessibility by returning the knowledge back to use communities, and on creating ethical instructions on the use of the archived cultural heritage materials.
We want to provide a global access to our archives through developing a user-friendly search portal for searching historical information from our digital archive. This will make the data more findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable and will enable easier study of archived information independently from its location, which we realize more and more how necessary this is especially in these days of epidemic threat.
