Here is an appreciation letter from her (translated into English):

” Dear Donors,

First and foremost, I would like to thank you very much for providing me with a scholarship to continue my education.  My name is Azime.  I am from a village called “Basak” in the province of Bursa.  My family makes a living by farming. I am the oldest of my two siblings. I am 16 years old. With your support, I was able to move to the city and study and dorm at the Cumhuriyet Anadolu Lisesi (Republic Anatolian High School). It has been 3 weeks since I came to this high school and school’s dorm. I did not have any difficulties adjusting to the dorm or the school since my teachers and classmates have been very kind and understanding to me.  One of the reasons why I am here, away from my family, is to be able to shape my own future.  With this opportunity, I will be able to provide my family with a better life.  Most importantly, I will be able to become an independent woman who is confident with herself and her words.  I am confident that all my dreams for the future will come true because of your support.

I am very thankful for your generous contribution to improve my and my family’s life.”

The story of Azime and her appreciation for your contributions are just a few among many and it sure feels great to see young women like her in school as it is getting harder by day, especially for young girls like her, to stay in school.  But we still have lot more girls to support.
