Investing in Potential: Your Contribution to Brighter Futures

By Pinar Ozyurek | Director of Philanthropy

Dear TPF Donors,

We express our heartfelt gratitude for your continuous support towards the education and empowerment of girls in Turkiye. Through your unwavering commitment, more girls have been afforded the opportunity to pursue education, unlock their potential, and thrive as self-reliant and confident individuals, fostering optimism for their future.

It has been more than a year since the devastating earthquakes hit Southern Turkiye, and your generous donations during this time has made a significant difference for young women in the region. Thank you for your outstanding commitment to education and girls' empowerment.

TPF, together with CYDD has been tirelessly aiding affected communities in Adana, Çukurova, Gaziantep, Hatay, Iskenderun, and Hatay following the devastating earthquakes.

Out of a total of 3,599 students receiving scholarships from the 7 ÇYDD branches in the region affected by the disasters, 954 have graduated. In addition to the continuing 2,645 earthquake-affected students, 2,399 earthquake-affected students started receiving new scholarships in the 2023-2024 academic year.

During the 2023-2024 period, TPF continues to support 369 university students and 118 high school students affected by the earthquake. In 2024, 48 orphaned students affected by the earthquake were included in the project. Among these students, 26 received computer support, and 19 received social support.

In order to support children, ÇYDD continues its activities at the activity center opened in Hatay Samandag in June. The center includes educational support activities, coding, and daily activities for students with ÇYDD volunteers in tents and containers.

Due to the serious housing problem for university students in major cities, ÇYDD continues its Housing Scholarship, initiated in 2023, for 554 students in 2024. Demand for this scholarship, which is ~$65 per month for 10 months, increases every year.

TPF and CYDD remain committed to ensuring continuous education for young women, thanks to our dedicated donors! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for helping create a brighter and more promising future for these girls.

Thank you for your trust in us and for supporting TPF!

With heartfelt thanks,

Team TPF
