Send More Girls to School!

Here are thank you letters from two of the girls you helped support, Aysenur and Dicle: (translated from Turkish to English)

“ My name is Aysenur.  I am 14 years old.  I started 9^th grade this past year at Aksehir Anadolu Lisesi (Aksehir Anatolian High School).  I am very hardworking.  I have two siblings – my sister is going to Fen Lisesi (Science High School) and she is studying for the state university entry exams this year.  As for my younger sibling, she is going to elementary school.

My father is a janitor and makes minimum wage.  He is unemployed during summers.  Because of this, he is unable to afford our school expenses. 

I would like to receive the best education I can and become a doctor some day.  I was very happy to see that people like you were able to make my dreams come true.  I appreciate and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your generous support.”

“My name is Dicle.  I am a high school student at Ataberk Anatolian High School. My father passed away.  My mother works to take care of me and my three siblings.  My brother is attending college.  We were having difficulty paying for my school bus and my school expenses. 

I was very happy to learn that I was qualified to receive this scholarship.  I would like to be very successful for my family and also give back to my community in the future.  Thank you very much for your support.” 

The stories of Aysenur and Dicle are inspiring.  But we still have lot more girls to support.
