Dear Donor,
As the new school year starts, we are getting thousands of scholarship applications from all over the country. We are lucky to have 110 CYDD branches all over Turkey and we can give scholarships to girls who apply from every city.
This year we aim to give scholarships to about 7000 girls in all levels of secondary and high school to help them stay in school and continue their education. As you probably all know the Turkish lira has been devaluated considerably and economy is going through a difficult period but one positive thing is that your donations in dolars are now more valuable. Last year scholarship for one girl for one year was about 300$; this year 230$ will be enough to keep them in school for a year.
I would also like to remind you that your donations on the particular "Giving Tueasday" day which is November 27th will be even more valuable as Global Giving will be matching them up to 150000$. You can help even more girls if you make your year end donations on that special day.
