LET'S EMPOWER GIRLS BY SUPPORTING THEIR EDUCATION

Dear donor,

In our previous report we wrote about supplying tablets to our students and a new program we started for the personal development of our scholarship highschool students copartnering with two technological initiatives.

The duration of the new program is 4 years for each student and each year students learn about four different skills. As of April 2021, 513 students completed the first modules of the project.The first year of the project is going to be completed in June 2021.

These modules are :

For 9th grade: Digital Literacy and Coding , Philosophy and Scientific Thinking Methods, Query and Curiosity

For 10th grade :Planning and Time Management , Communication Skills 101 , Analytical Thinking ,  New Technologies 101          

For 11th grade : Critical Thinking and Problem Solving , Change Management , Creativity and Innovation, Lifelong learning and Self-management

For 12th grade :Team Working , Leadership , Entrepreneurship, Career Planning

We are aware that in the 21st century, it is not enough to graduate from a high school or a university and everyone but especially young generations need new skills to be successful.Unfortunately these skills are not covered in the formal education curriculum in Turkey and we hope to continue this program in the coming years with increasing number of students.

We also supplied 1000 tablets to our scholarship high school students; funds raised by various campaigns.The photos are from delivery of tablets to students in Sile,a province of Istanbul.
