Dear donor,
It is a long and difficult process to choose the girls eligible to be included in our scholarship programs. Their declaration of family income, number of siblings, marital status of parents are all checked in addition to school records and the students are interviewed one by one to determine their motivation to continue their education.
No matter how much we want, we cannot give scholarships to every applicant and each year the number of applicants is always much more than our scholarship program budget. This year the selection process was finalized recently and we are proud to announce that we have 2000 new girls in addition to the 8426 girls already benefiting from the program. 10,426 girls in total will be receiving scholarships for the 2021-2022 school year.
A new decision taken this year is to deposit the scholarships in monthly installments to the students’ bank accounts instead of depositing beginning of each term in two installments. This will be an extra burden on the accounting department but guarantees that the girls’ needs will be covered for ten months.
For this school year we had planned to have 1700 new students but with your valuable contributions, we can now support 2000 new girls.
Thank you!
