The project is design to take 250 girls hawking off the street, who on daily basis are being exploit sexually in other to sell out, through enrolling them in schools, provision and supply of adequate books and learning materials and paying them little stipends to encourage them remain in school.
The recent statistics from government indicated that commercial car and truck drivers have the highest HIV prevalence rate in Nigeria, most of these men use girls hawking on streets 24/7 as sexual partners by canvassing to buy all goods in exchange for sex.instead of letting them face continues poverty,illiteracy,and risk of HIV and AIDS. We intend to take them off the street, enroll them in schools and give them stipends to remain in school.
Recruiting girls through participatory design and provide sexual exploitation, harassment education, enroll girls in schools, buy learning materials and pay girls little stipends to stay in school.
The project will equip girls with the knowledge of sex and sexual transmitted diseases, rape, harassment, and exploitation prevention. Provide formal education which has potential of lifting them out of poverty and meeting United Nations sustainable goals on girl education and disease prevention.
