Let's help blind children refugees from Ukraine

We constantly feel your support. And this is very important for us and for blind children in Ukraine!
Today it is difficult for many of us, so we are sincerely grateful to you for supporting the project to adapt books for blind children.
During the reporting period, we paid a lot of attention to informing children and parents about how to behave during the coronavirus pandemic.
Children react differently to information. Someone may be overwhelmed by excitement or anxiety, someone may think that the threat is exaggerated, and will not take the precautions seriously. It is useful to learn not only about the child's feelings about the situation as a whole, but also about how changes in daily life affect him.
Children have a vivid imagination, which can cause them to worry unnecessarily in stressful situations. It is not only the virus that is dangerous, but also the fear with which we can infect our children. It is important to find a reasonable balance by honestly answering your child's questions about COVID-19 without frightening them with too much information.
Therefore, we tried to adapt the materials for children in a form that is accessible to them. For example, the book "Robie and the Angry in the Crown" by the Ukrainian writer Galina Budilova helped us a lot in this.
The heroes of the book are brother and sister and their toy robot Robie. We not only adapted this book according to the principles of universally design, but also offered children a coloring based on this fairy tale story. children with great pleasure got acquainted with the heroes of the book and the rules of behavior during the coronavirus pandemic.
Our little readers were not left without gifts for Christmas and New Year. Each of them received a festive set of 4 books "Winter Tales" and a set of relief drawings "Winter".
It is interesting for us to participate in the project "Touch the Word" of the Ukrainian diaspora in Hungary, initiated by Ulyana Knyaginetskaya.
2021 marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian writer, translator, social and cultural activist Lesia Ukrainka. The date of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Lesya Ukrainka is included in the UNESCO Anniversary Calendar.
We are not staying away from this event. The collections of poems and fairy tales by Lesia Ukrainka "In the children's circle", "Trouble will teach" have already gone to the children.
For teenagers, we adapted and published the song "Forest Song".
Together with our partners from Hungary, we are preparing a book of poems by Lesya Ukrainka for adults.
Our organization continues to support blind children who study in general education schools. We adapt and print textbooks and manuals for them. And for teachers teaching aids and teaching aids in Braille, tactile books.
