Sea, sun and friends are the best rehabilitators

By BUTENKO VALENTYNA | Lider projekt

Dear friends, thanks to your fantastic support, our team is doing a fantastic job. More than a hundred participants from Ukraine, Poland, Germany, France of three innovative social projects gathered in the Sunny Beach of Bulgaria. We want to introduce each of them. The first project "Mom's School" for blind kids,

The second project is "The Path to Independence" for adolescents who have complex developmental disorders. And the third project is "Start to Success" for blind youth.

The projects are aimed at:

- psychological support and assistance to parents/children and teenagers with disabilities;

- obtaining professional knowledge through counseling and individual meetings with specialists regarding communication, socialization and comprehensive development of a child with disabilities;

- emotional reset and reduction of stress and consequences of war;

- therapeutic professional help for parents who are chronically tired, exhausted and have survived military operations in Ukraine;

- communication and socialization of adolescents and youth with developmental disorders through group meetings with psychologists, specialists in orientation, acting and choreography, correctional and sensory therapists;

- recreation and health by the sea for all project participants;

- establishing relations and interaction between family members who raise children with developmental disabilities;

- support and restoration of physical development of children/adolescents/youth with developmental disorders through individual and group meetings with physical therapists and rehabilitators, morning exercises and water games in the sea and pool.
