Project Report | Jan 24, 2017
Winter Tales for younger readers to the blind

By Valentina Butenko | Project Leader

Dear friends!
We are very well worked before the New Year holidays.

Thank you for being with us.
We are very pleased that, because of your support of  blind children in Ukraine may receive more and more new books in Braille!
During the reporting  period,  we have been worked a lot.
For the first time in the New Year holidays children with severe visual impairment received a gift set of  "Winter Tales", 5 new books we made as universal design standards Braille with relief illustrations.
A surprise  for our children become creative kits for making New Year's and Christmas cards.
We believe, that  small victories of our  project, that our books first  appeared in the  Ukraine on the shelf, not only in a special library for blind people, but also normal at the bookstore "Storeroom" (Kiev).
Thanks to our projects  4 cafes  adapted their menus for blind visitors, there was a catalog  of  the different varieties of coffee in Braille in a network of shops "Pear".
In recognition of our joint work, we believe, that the St.  Petersburg  Library  for the Blind that is one of the largest libraries for people with sight problems in the post-Soviet space ordered us to make 25 sets of books "Tales Basil Eroshenko".

Our publication "Tales Basil Eroshenko"  is  located at the British Library.
