If you have ever been in a situation where you just wanted to EAT something - ANYTHING, then you know how it feels NOT to have much of a reason to SMLE. Most of us reading this have never known hunger - except through fasting. That was our own decision - for whatever reason - health, weight loss, spiritual, religion - but not out of lack of the possibility of obtaining food.
Life is different there...thousands and thousands of children go to bed hungry every night - along with their parents... many with devastating results from malnutrition. We feel very blessed that we are able to insure more than 500 children a healthy, warm meal 6 days a week - at our own school - The Live and Learn in Kenya Education Center in Nakuru, Kenya - and in our partner schools that more than 200 Live and Learn in Kenya children attend.
Life would be different for these children if it weren't for people like you - and we cannot thank you enough for all that you do to help us keep food on the children's plates and SMILES on their faces after enjoying a warm and delicious meal.
