More than 150 poor children have benefited this year, with activities, food, recreation, sports and education. Their families cannot guarantee the well-being of children and sometimes leave them alone to go to work with risks of abuse, abuse or drug addiction in childhood stages.
Given the social reality of Medellin (Colombia) and many children who are arriving in the city seeking help from Venezuela. Children are exposed to situations of high psychosocial risk. They find protection by carrying out activities such as:
Pedagogical support, Food and school reinforcement.
Monitoring and individual work for each child at the psychosocial level according to their particular needs.
Actions to promote health and prevent diseases, promote sexual and reproductive health, prevent alcohol and psychoactive substances, nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.
Strengthening life skills: emphasizing the development of coping skills, decision making, critical thinking and autonomy to prevent recidivism in self-destructive behaviors
Activities to stimulate and develop the skills, abilities and vocational, sporting and artistic interests of each child or adolescent.
Cultural, sports and recreational development opportunities for the construction of meaning and consolidation of their life projects
Advice to the family or network of support to give continuity to all these processes from home.
