Thanks to all our suppoters who have supported us for the last six months. LGBT Voice Tanzania identified 36 LGBT in eight regions namely Dar es salaam 9, Arusha 6, Mwanza 3, Mbeya 4, Tanga 7, Morogoro 2, Iringa 1 and Unguja 4 youth who are not attending school due to reasons related to their sex orientation and gender identity but we intend to support 32 who are in great need.
Through the last five months have only been able to sponsor only one LGBT youth 19yrs old to attend a vocational training School at Chang`ombe to major in Motor Vehicle Mechanics and driving. We are sure next Month we will be able to sponsor another youth because we raised about $600 in March.
We still have 30 LGBT youth who need support LGBT Voice Tanzania so that they can obtain requisite skills as either entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs to be self employed, employ others and be marketable wherever they find themselves
LGBT Voice Tanzania is still negotiating with Children Society to see if they can allow all the LGBT youth who are based in Dar es salaam to join their training centre and we can be making payments as donations come in.
Please continue supporting this special project because it is the only project that intends and works to brighten the future of LGBT youth in Tanzania.
