Project Report | May 26, 2026
We are planning the next steps

By Konstantin Asiev | Projct Leader

Dear friends,

Thank you for the support that keeps our project moving forward.

In our previous report, we shared that we had finished preparing for the third stage: we had assembled three complete sets of the "Life Capital" game - with a tactile game board, pieces and dice suited to blind players, a digital version of the rules, and methodological materials for facilitators. At the same time, we built an adaptive web application that allows blind teenagers to take full part in the game.

This reporting period was about making all of that truly work the way it should. We concentrated on refining what we had already created, and in accessibility work it is often the small things that matter most.

Together with our team and teachers of the blind (typhlopedagogues), we tested the web application, fixed a number of small issues in how it works with screen readers, and made the reading of cards and prompts clearer. Alongside this, we refined the guidelines for facilitators and once again checked that the separated host/player logic works correctly - so that blind participants can not only play but also run game sessions on their own.

This kind of work rarely looks impressive, but it is exactly what makes our game reliable and truly inclusive. What matters most to us is that a blind teenager finds it easy to use.

We sincerely thank everyone who believes in our project. The most exciting part lies ahead - the live testing of the game and the training of new leaders.

With gratitude,

The Life Capital Project Team - for blind youth.
