The patient we are supporting through this project continues to face serious challenges following his spinal injury. At present, he has difficulty moving independently, and even simple attempts to stand or walk remain very difficult for him.
Recently, Karitas Relief Mission has continued to follow up with him and encourage him as he waits for the medical care he needs. We have tried to support him with a walking stick and encouragement to help him move, but his condition still makes movement very challenging.
The immediate need now is for a spinal scan and medical assessment at the hospital. The scan will help the doctors monitor the condition of his spinal cord and bones and determine the appropriate next steps while we wait for the required surgery.
The patient is not yet feeling well and remains in need of continued medical attention. The delay in accessing specialized treatment is a major concern, especially because the family has limited resources to meet the costs involved.
Karitas Relief Mission continues to do its best to follow up, provide encouragement, and mobilize support for his medical care. We are grateful to our GlobalGiving supporters for standing with him during this difficult period. Their support can help us meet the immediate medical costs and move him closer to receiving the treatment he urgently needs.
