LIFE-SAVING SPINAL SURGERY

By Kajubi Jimmy | Project Leader

Dear Donors

On Monday, Karitas Relief Mission continued following up on the condition of the beneficiary of our Life-Saving Spinal Surgery project. The situation remains concerning, and the need for timely medical intervention continues to be urgent.

The purpose of this project is to help a vulnerable person who suffered a serious spinal injury and is in need of specialized medical treatment that his family cannot afford.

Current Situation

During our continued follow-up, we remained concerned about the deterioration of his condition. His back has continued to experience serious complications, causing him considerable worry about his future.

His legs also remain affected by paralysis, limiting his ability to move independently and carry out normal daily activities.

The continued uncertainty surrounding the surgery has placed a heavy emotional burden on him and those caring for him. He remains hopeful that the required medical treatment will become possible and that his condition can improve.

Need for Surgery

The medical intervention remains a priority. Because of the seriousness of the spinal injury and the complications he is experiencing, specialized medical attention is urgently needed.

Karitas Relief Mission continues to mobilize support toward the cost of the surgery, hospital care, and other necessary medical expenses.

Progress Made

During Monday's follow-up, we:

- Continued monitoring the beneficiary's condition.

- Assessed the ongoing challenges caused by his spinal injury.

- Remained in communication with those supporting his care.

- Continued mobilizing resources for the required surgery.

- Maintained hope that the necessary funds will be raised to enable him to access specialized treatment.

Challenges

The greatest challenge remains the cost of the required medical treatment. The available resources are not yet sufficient to meet the full cost of the surgery and related medical care.

The continued delay is also concerning because his physical condition remains fragile and his mobility is severely affected.

Next Steps

Karitas Relief Mission will continue fundraising and seeking partners and well-wishers who can help make the surgery possible. We will also continue monitoring his condition and providing updates as new developments occur.

Our priority is to help him access the specialized treatment he needs and give him an opportunity for improved mobility, health, and dignity.

Conclusion

Monday's follow-up reminded us of the urgency of this project. Behind the fundraising target is a person whose life has been deeply affected by a serious spinal injury and who is waiting for an opportunity to receive the medical care he needs.

Karitas Relief Mission remains committed to standing with him throughout this difficult period. We are grateful to everyone who continues to pray, share, and contribute toward making the life-saving surgery possible.
