Dear Donors
Karitas Relief Mission continues to follow up on the case of a vulnerable man who is in urgent need of specialized spinal surgery following a serious spinal injury. His condition remains a major concern, and the need for medical intervention continues to be urgent.
Current Situation
During the recent follow-up, we received worrying information about his condition. His back has continued to deteriorate, causing him significant concern about his future and his ability to regain normal movement.
His legs also remain paralyzed, making it extremely difficult for him to move independently or carry out normal daily activities. The prolonged condition has placed a heavy emotional and physical burden on him and his family.
Activities Conducted
Karitas Relief Mission continues to:
- Monitor his physical condition and communicate with those caring for him.
- Follow up on the medical recommendations concerning the required spinal surgery.
- Mobilize resources toward the cost of the medical intervention.
- Keep supporters informed about the urgency of his situation.
- Encourage continued support so that he can access the specialized treatment he needs.
Challenges
The greatest challenge remains the high cost of specialized spinal treatment. The family has limited resources and cannot meet the medical expenses on their own.
The continued paralysis and deterioration of his condition also increase the urgency of finding the necessary resources and ensuring that he receives appropriate medical care as soon as possible.
Way Forward
Karitas Relief Mission will continue mobilizing support for the required spinal surgery and maintaining communication with the medical team and family.
We remain hopeful that with the support of generous well-wishers, the necessary funds can be raised to enable him to receive the specialized treatment he needs and have an opportunity for improved mobility and quality of life.
Conclusion
This case continues to remind us of the importance of standing with vulnerable people who cannot afford life-changing medical treatment. Karitas Relief Mission remains committed to supporting him and appealing for assistance until the required medical care can be accessed.
