Mother Charitable Foundation administers an education & skill training center for 50 children with special needs from underprivileged families in Sri Lanka, encouraging non-accommodative life skills training to reduce the gap with their families and to make them independent in their unique life styles. The children are trained to improve language, daily routine, aesthetic, writing, arithmetic and vocational skills with necessary therapeutic treatments, leading them to have an independent life.
The children with special needs in Sri Lanka have limited access for special need education & skills development leading them to be dependent and unemployed due to lack of skills & education to be occupied in their daily engagements. Besides, the residential rehabilitation will make them isolated due to separation from their family. Mother Charitable Foundation will provide non-accommodative life skills training for the children with special needs to be independent in their lives.
Mother Charitable Foundation administers a center named 'Pathum Uyana' for non-accommodative life skills training & special need education for 50 children with special needs in Sri Lanka. The children will be trained to improve their language, daily routine, aesthetic, writing, arithmetic & vocational skills. The bond between the children & their families will be increased and they will be encouraged to get trained and be independent at their lives irrespective of their impairments.
Pathum Uyana project will educate & train 50 children with special needs, enabling them to be independent at their daily life while developing potentials to initiate a livelihood. It will increase the working force of the country which contributes to its' economy. Improved bond with the family will form a trusted supportive system to the child and the heavy cost spent on accommodative training can be saved and used effectively to advocate for the rights of the individuals with special needs.
