Dear Donors,
The Lifeline project has been providing medical support to 20 Syrian and Lebanese individuals residing in Lebanon. The aid provided includes but is not limited to diagnostic laboratory tests, eye procedures and check-ups, speech therapy, physical therapy and urgent operations.
With your kind donations, we were able to follow up on previous cases who need additional operations, treatments and medication. In addition to providing treatment for children and adults who suffer from cancer, pneumonia, brain diseases and poor growth. These cases were referred to endocrinologists, oncologists, neurologists, physiotherapists and speech therapists.
Maria, a strong 6-year-old girl, suffers from congenital deformity and an inability to speak. Several laboratory tests and an MRI were done to evaluate her case. She has been prescribed a medication to treat her poor growth in addition to physiotherapy, psychomotor therapy and speech therapy treatments for 6 months. Thankfully, Maria is still getting treated but has shown massive improvement in speech and movement coordination.
Once again, I would like to thank you for your support because these medical interventions will help other children like Maria continue their day-to-day lives normally.
