Dear Friends,
Thanks to your continued generosity, the Lifesaving Intervention Project has made meaningful progress in strengthening maternal and newborn care across Sardauna Local Government Area. Building on the strong foundation laid in 2025, we trained 33 frontline health workers, expanded our reach to 10 new communities, distributed 1,000 clean birth kits in these communities, and launched our telehealth support platform. In the last quarter of 2025, we continued with the virtual training and mentorship for the 33 health workers. We are now preparing for a much bigger and more impactful year ahead in 2026.
Our 2026 Goal: Reaching More Mothers and Saving More Lives
In 2026, we planned to significantly scale up our work to ensure that no woman or newborn dies from preventable causes during childbirth. Our clear and focused plan includes two major priorities:
1. Training More Frontline Health Workers
We will train at least 100 additional frontline health workers, including nurses, midwives, and community health extension workers, across hard-to-reach communities in Sardauna LGA.
The training will focus on Basic Lifesaving Skills in Maternal and Child Health. Each participant will undergo hands-on, practical training and will be enrolled in our Telehealth Support App for continuous mentorship, case consultation, and professional development throughout the year.
2. Distribution of 2,000 Clean Birth Kits
In 2026, we plan to distribute 2,000 clean birth kits to pregnant women delivering in health facilities and hard-to-reach communities.
These kits are proven to reduce infections such as sepsis, one of the leading causes of maternal and newborn deaths in rural Nigeria. By ensuring every delivery is clean and safe, we are giving thousands of babies a healthier start to life.
Strengthening Quality Through Digital Health
All trained health workers will continue to receive support through our Telehealth App, which provides:
-
Real-time consultation with doctors and obstetric specialists
-
Emergency referral guidance
-
Continuous mentorship and learning
-
Monitoring of maternal and newborn outcomes
This system ensures that even the most remote facilities are connected to life-saving expertise when it matters most.
Your Support Makes This Possible
With your continued partnership and support, 2026 will be a year of expanded impact—more trained health workers, more protected mothers, and more babies born safely.
Every donation directly contributes to:
-
Training skilled health workers
-
Supplying clean birth kits
-
Expanding digital health support
-
Saving lives in underserved communities
Thank you for standing with us and believing in a future where no mother or baby dies from preventable causes. Together, we can reach more families and build healthier communities in Sardauna and beyond.
