Across Nigeria, many children lack guidance on basic life skills, leaving them vulnerable to exploitation, poor health, and limited economic prospects. This project will train 3,250 children in communication, problem-solving, financial literacy, hygiene, and nutrition. Immediate action is needed as many face early marriage, child labor, and unsafe environments. The program will create safer paths for their growth and ability to handle real-life challenges.
Many children in Nigeria grow up without structured guidance on managing personal, social, and financial challenges. Poverty, lack of parental care, and unsafe environments leave them vulnerable to exploitation, poor health, and unemployment in adulthood. Without access to skill-based learning, they are more likely to drop out of school and fall into cycles of hardship.
The program will provide structured training sessions in safe community spaces. Topics will cover communication, problem-solving, hygiene, nutrition, and financial literacy. Local trainers will use interactive methods to keep children engaged while teaching practical skills they can apply daily. Regular workshops will be paired with peer group activities to help reinforce learning.
Children who gain life skills early are more likely to finish school, secure stable income sources, and contribute to safer, more productive communities. By teaching practical skills now, we lay the groundwork for these children to break free from cycles of poverty and vulnerability. The knowledge they gain will continue to guide their decisions into adulthood.
