So far, throughout 2023, we have been fully active with different groups of people who have accepted and gone through our proposal of training and support at the Employment Training Center.
This makes us very happy, because it means that our intervention is having good results: we generate trust in organizations that deal with other social matters and they recommend us as a reference in the field of labor reinsertion for people in vulnerable situations.
But as we have shared with you before, keeping up processes of containment and training that can last a few months can be very difficult for these people, since they are in the state of urgency to get a sustenance that allows them to face the day to day.
This is particularly critical in the case of women, who are often in charge of family caregiving tasks. Even if the family group has another working adult, this is not enough, since currently in the City of Buenos Aires (where we operate our main activity) the cost of living is particularly high, largely due to a severe real estate crisis that makes rents (whether for housing or temporary accommodation such as hotels and guesthouses) very difficult to pay.
That is why we try to offer a variety of resources to address labor reintegration, which can open employment paths in a work relationship or in self-managed projects (according to the interests and possibilities of each person), such as training for the textile industry.
We need to continue strengthening these proposals in order to be able to offer training that contemplates the different realities of the people we sponsor. This implies obtaining specific machines and supplies and training our professional team.
In addition, we dream of being able to offer the people we accompany an economic fund that allows them to ensure their permanence in our process without having to interrupt it due to the urgency of taking seasonal jobs that are usually precarious and poorly paid.
That is why we value your collaboration and we hope that you will continue to support us in the future!
