We Started Our 6th Cohort and our needs have deepened.
As we enter the final quarter of 2024, the socioeconomic situation in Argentina continues to deteriorate, particularly impacting vulnerable populations in Buenos Aires. With the approaching summer, the challenges for women experiencing homelessness remain significant, as the rising temperatures can exacerbate health issues, while shelter options continue to decline amidst economic hardship.
This year has seen worsening economic conditions, making it even more difficult for Multipolar’s beneficiaries to access safe housing or essential resources. Summer poses unique challenges, including dehydration, exposure to the elements, and increased risks related to inadequate shelter. Despite these obstacles, the capacity of existing shelters is limited, leaving many people without a safe place to stay.
In response to this pressing situation, we are launching our 6th cohort of our Employment Training Center Throughout the year, we have strengthened our partnerships with organizations that provide temporary refuge to those in need. Our focus is to not only offer immediate stability, but also equip women with skills that enable them to rebuild their lives.
We are excited about our renewed sewing workshop because aside from being a key component of our training program, which has garnered significant interest from women in our community, this workshop will serve as a productive venture that will become a source of income for the women taking part in it, and financial support for Multipolar, allowing us to replicate it with more women in the coming months.
As we continue to expand our efforts, we urgently need the support of our donors. Your contributions can have a direct impact on the lives of the women we serve. With your help, we can:
- Equip our sewing workshop with essential materials and tools.
- Enhance our training programs, offering women the skills they need to find sustainable employment.
- Provide critical support to more people as they face the challenges of this profound crisis (not only financial support but mental health support, coaching, occupational therapy, etc)
The economic crisis has left us all facing difficult times, but together we can help vulnerable women regain their footing through meaningful employment opportunities. Your donations will make a real difference in their lives.
