Little Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian bright beginning

In the heart of Fushe Kosova and the village of Janjeva, communities with a rich but often overlooked heritage, there is a beacon of hope for the Roma, Ashkali, and Egyptian children. At the Azure Learning Center, 100 children between the ages of 3 and 6 are experiencing a new kind of beginning—one filled with possibilities, joy, and the promise of a brighter future.

These young children, many of whom come from marginalized backgrounds, have often faced challenges that hinder their growth and access to basic education. Today was a truly heartwarming day at the Azure Learning Center, where children who attend kindergarten for free received a wonderful surprise—gifts lovingly prepared and delivered by the children and teachers of Kindergarten Linda.

The collaboration began as an initiative to teach children about sharing, kindness, and community spirit. The young children from Kindergarten Linda spent days preparing thoughtful presents, including colorful books, toys, puzzles, and school supplies, all carefully wrapped to bring joy. When the gifts arrived, the classroom at the Azure Learning Center was filled with excitement and laughter.

The children’s faces lit up as they unwrapped their surprises—some immediately diving into storybooks, others assembling puzzles, and a few hugging their new toys tightly. For many, this was not just about the gifts themselves but the joy of knowing someone out there was thinking of them.

Teachers and staff at the Azure Learning Center expressed their gratitude, emphasizing how meaningful it was for these children—many of whom come from challenging circumstances—to experience such generosity. “These moments help children feel loved, seen, and valued.
