The scale of displacement into neighboring countries has continued to increase since the conflict erupted in April 2023 between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces. The Sudanese war has driver out 3.1 million people and 700,000 fled into neighboring Countries. According to IOM South Sudan is hosting 160,800 Sudanese refugees and these have scattered to many parts of South Sudan. CSD is to instill in them various livelihood skills for their survival in Yambio
Difficult life. The majority of those fleeing Sudan are women and children. They are survivors of violent attacks, sexual assault, children are traveling alone. They arrive weak and malnourished. They are seen to have a wide range of psychological problems, such as psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorder and depression, dying of malnutrition, & diseases This project is to help 100 individual refugees to learn livelihood skills as a way of building their capacities for business and survival
First way; to those who already have some skills, a small start-up capital shall be given to them individually to start and operate business. Areas of already existing skills include Repair of cooling systems, Electrical installations, Mechanics, Manufacture of local body perfumes, Body make-ups, Knitting bed sheets Making paper food Second way: Offering trainings to those who do not have skills; this in areas of Professional tailoring, welding, phone repairs, bakery
These projects will educate 100 refugees men and women allowing them to rise out of economic challenges, which will provide for their families' livelihood, health, school fees and general well-being. Project will instill livelihood knowledge for survival and development.
