LIVES KITCHEN is out and running, in the cold weather in Tokyo!!
We now have 6 different locations, including two university campuses to serve lunch with volunteers and special needs staff. Customers see us and cheer us and they tell us that they feel happy to see a small inclusive community on the food truck.
You may remember about the three staff, who were hired by Hilton Tokyo last year: - they are doing great!! Working hard and enjoying. One staff who used to work from 2018 to 2023 on the food truck, has finally found her job in her home town in Gunma prefecture. Another staff is now considering a training period at a fast food chain in Tokyo. Also, a couple of more companies are interested in hiring the special needs staff:- a fast food chain and a distribution company. We are so excited about this development!!
We will continue this effort and make it more systematic and fun, and be able to give more opportunities to the people with special needs to participate in the community and in the workplace.
The volunteers learn so much from volunteering, and we are sure that these small efforts will eventually become valuable and meaningful for companies, for families, and for individuals.
So thank you so much for your continued support. It means a lot to us and your contribution allows us to keep on going.
Thank you again!!
