As a donor you can help the LTSO serve the community through our virtual orchestral project . With so many of our senior patrons (which consists of about 65% of our audience) unable to leave their homes during COVID-19 the LTSO would like to bring orchestral music to them through monthly or quarterly virtual performances. Consider helping the LTSO grow our ability to perform for our wonderful patrons and their family. The LTSO is a largely volunteer orchestra.
Problem: The LTSO is unable to perform for our patrons during this time due to COVID-19. With social distancing and other restrictions in place the LTSO has had to cancel our last Season May performance and has cancelled our October 2020 performance, with the possibility of cancelling our two December concerts at the Lone Tree Arts Center in Lone Tree, CO
How to Solve: The LTSO plans to create virtual performances to include wind or string ensembles and possibly mixed ensembles of all instruments based on funding raised. These virtual performances will then be sent via newsletters, emails, Social Media and through our website and email systems. They will also be promoted through local non profit TV and Radio websites and newsletters.
Lone Term Impact: Many of our patrons are senior citizens and have stayed in their homes during COVID 19. Many have reached out asking when the LTSO will be performing again. The long term impact would be reaching our patrons and their families and bringing their favorite orchestra, virtually, (through smaller groups) to their homes. The LTSO musicians miss performing and many are volunteering to help with the virtual performances through their music and love of our patrons.
