As we reported last month, the Library Learning Center is officially OPEN! Students and parents are stopping by to borrow books, women are creating laptop bags and mats in the Maker Space, and workshops are being conducted on the rooftop! We are so grateful for your donation that made this building become a reality. The Library Learning Center is a vibrant and fun center of learning and we can't thank you enough. Visitors from throughout Kenya are telling us it's the finest community library they have seen in Kenya!
We thought you would enjoy seeing a video of the project from start to finish in this Library Learning Center construction VIDEO. We also wanted to capture some of the fun of the Gala opening for our friends outside of Kenya. We invite you to watch the GALA VIDEO.
As we mentioned, our rooftop meeting space is being used for Teacher Professional Development Workshops and student Enrichment programs. Just last week, Secondary The School Fund and Expanding Horizons Students participated in an engaging session on Conflict Resolution by our friends at Bridges for Peace Foundation.
