Advance report - January 2026

Dear Donors,

Happy New Year 2026!
From the Querer Foundation team, we wish you all the very best for the 365 days ahead.

During the past autumn months, it has truly felt like a miracle to have access to the therapeutic garden, allowing us to carry out countless outdoor therapy sessions. Children, adolescents, and adults have benefited in every sense—emotionally, sensorially, and educationally—while continuing to make meaningful progress toward their therapeutic goals.

Now winter has arrived in Madrid, and temperatures are very low. During these months, and until early spring, most plants in the therapeutic garden are in a period of recovery. For these two reasons – cold temperatures and plant recovery- , the garden will remain inactive in terms of therapeutic activities throughout the winter months.

It is only natural that neither children nor adults feel comfortable participating in therapy sessions in cold and rainy conditions, so we eagerly look forward to the arrival of early spring, when we will once again be able to make full use of the therapeutic garden.

In the meantime, we are reaching out to special education schools and senior care residences to begin coordinating a schedule of visits starting in spring, ensuring that as many people as possible can benefit from the therapies offered in the garden.

Regarding the scientific research project, we have not yet secured the necessary funding to begin (USD 40,000), but we continue our search with determination.

With your help, we hope to continue making a real and lasting difference.

With gratitude,

Eugenia
