Make Christmas special for DRC street children

Hi, thank you so much for your financial support for this Kimbilio Project that enables us to provide a great Christmas for the street children who come to the Day Centre, for the children living in the Kimbilio short-term and long-term houses and for the children attending the Kimbilio School.

It is the time of year when the street children feel the absence of parents and family most and so it is important that Kimbilio can provide warmth and generosity and can enable the children to forget their circumstances for a while and enjoy the sort of celebration that other children will be having with their families. The Day Centre gives a special Christmas lunch, has games for the children to enjoy and gives presents for them to take away. At the Kimbilio houses, the children get to dress up in smart clothes, to enjoy a traditional lunch and to play games, open their presents and dance to music.At the school, Father Christmas pays a visit to give presents to the children, much to their delight.

As we approach Christmas 2024, I would like to thank you for your financial support for this important Kimbilio project. Christmas is the time of year when children living on the streets most miss their families so the Kimbilio team in Lubumbashi strive to make their experience as joyful as possible. 

At the Day Centre and in the four Kimbilio homes, the children are given a big lunch followed by presents, music and lots of games.  It's an opportunity for them to have fun and to feel loved. Similary, at the Kimbilio School, the children enjoy a special day of present giving and games. 

As we approach Christmas 2024, your donations will enable Kimbilio to make Christmas a special time for the street children. It is so heart-warming to see the smiles on their faces and hear the laughter of the children. Thank you again for your support.
