This project aims to equip us with a powerful 75 horsepower engine to sail our 30-ton boat on Lake Tanganyika.
Traffic on Lake Tanganyika is between the riparian countries of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Burundi, the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic of Zambia. These are long distances of navigation on the lake is more than 600 km long and 30 to 75 km wide. (Average depth 600 m). The engine must be powerful to deal with winds and waves up to 5 m in height.
Our current engine dates back to 2008 and is completely used. At this moment, it is down; some parts are defective and need to be replaced, but unfortunately they are not found on the market.
This blissful association of the new engine and our wooden boat (hull) will make our boat profitable to meet all the needs of our school.
Dear friends, we thank you for your support ... Let's finish together the work started ... Buy a powerful engine for our boat.
Merry Christmas!
Best wishes for the new year 2020!
