We were able to repair our30 tons boat which transports people and goods between different points of the countries bordering Lake Tanganyika namely the Republic of Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, the United Republic of Tanzania and the Republic from Zambia.
As our old engine (Yamaha 55 horsepower) is completely worn out and it can no longer sail, we have our boat rented to the various people who need it
Obviously, this handicaps us and we receive little money, insufficient to provide for the entire needs of our Glenn Paige Nonkilling School.
In order for our boat to be profitable, we will need to have our own high horsepower (75) engine capable of supporting the entire load. But also this engine will allow us to navigate safely. Indeed, in recent times the trade winds (strong and seasonal winds) called saba saba in the region, blow unabated on the lake and cause many damages and shipwrecks.
Let’s hope for donations so that our boat can be profitable to support financially our pioneering nonkilling school.
Your suggestions and advice are welcome.
No more killing!
