Our country, the Democratic Republic of Congo, is experiencing a regression of the COVID-19 pandemic. The health situation is improving with less contamination but with few vaccinated (less than 5%). The country has 54,009 cases for 52,956 cured and 1053 deaths.
It was in this context that the 2021/2022 school year began, on October 4, 2021.
Our School, Glenn Paige NonKilling School, reopened with 92 students for 3 classes. This is made possible by improving traffic on Lake Tanganyika which has gradually resumed between Burundi, Tanzania and our country.
Our project, which requested 9500 USD, has already obtained donations of 8341 USD, there is 1139 USD left for us to purchase a new, powerful 75 horsepower motor suitable for our 30 ton wooden boat. The old engine is completely useless.
Dear Friends of our School, you have been blessed donors for this poor children's welfare project… we are counting on your generosity to complete this project to make our boat profitable to provide for all the needs of our School.
We thank you very much.
