The flag of Glenn Paige NonKilling School has not been floating for some months on the waters of Lake Tanganyika ... The main cause is that our boat is in full repair (restructuring). It is a matter of replacing old boards worn by water and loads with new boards. It is a delicate work especially for our big boat wich weighs 30 tons and the good hard boards come from United Republic of Tanzania.
We admit that our forecasts were disrupted by galloping inflation and devaluation of our currency. However, the repair should be ready in September 2017 (the start of the new school year) to allow the School to run smoothly.
Meanwhile, our 55 horsepower engine is becoming increasingly worn out. Failures multiply. The aim of this project is to acquire a new 75 horsepower engine for the safety of people and goods during its various journeys.
We thank our donors for the amount already received; we are grateful and confident.
Let us hope for the rest of the funds so that our boat can be profitable and can support financially the pioneering school which bears an illustrious name.
