The COVID-19 pandemic continues to persist and affect Malian communities in a multitude of ways. While it may no longer be the global health emergency it once was, the virus can still be extremely detrimental to patients who do not have access to proper healthcare, or doctors without the constant influx of protective equipment.
Back in December 2023, the World Health Organization stated that COVID-19 is still prevalent and dangerous, and may be ‘flying under the radar’. While the virus may not be killing as many individuals as it did during its peak, the WHO chief asserted that governments should take precautionary measures, as well as urging these governments to maintain virus surveillance, and to ensure access to affordable tests, treatments and vaccines (Oloninarian, 2024).
Mali is still in need of your help. Our doctors work tirelessly to ensure the health of local patients and communities- a tumultuous task without enough protective medical equipment. For a donation of $10, you would be providing a box of gloves. With a donation of $25, you would be providing a box of masks, a vital aspect in ensuring the spread of COVID-19 stays as minimal as possible. With a donation of $80, you would be providing a consistent supply of disinfectant, an absolutely crucial component in helping stop the spread of the virus. We thank you for your continuous support as our healthcare workers strive for the wellness of Malian communities.
