Thank you! Gracias!

Dear Supporters,

On behalf of our partners, volunteers, staff and the marine life on the Mexican coast, we want to say a massive Thank You for your support in 2016! Local organizations are making a bigger impact on the ground because of you and your support. It may seem like a small contribution but when lots of us contribute for the same cause we manage to overcome many obstacles.

Here are a few facts about how we utilised your donations in 2016.

This year, our local partner NGOS, Project Aware, Healthy Reefs for Healthy People and COBI, together received an equivalent of US $2,385 which was used to purchase new, updated equipment that supports their research. All of the research that our local partners do is to better access and monitor the conditions of our reef and the creatures that live on it. The research is used to contributed to creating awareness campaigns for the local communities so that they are empowered with the knowledge that they need to also contribute towards the protection of marine life.

Partner Purchases in 2016

  • Dive masks
  • fibber glass measuring tapes
  • carabiners
  • dive slates
  • depth and pressure gauge
  • weights
  • PVC for monitoring equipment.
  • Oxygen tank
  • First aid kits
  • Underwater paper
  • Titanium Water Level Data Logger
  • COBI Freshwater/Saltwater Water Temp Data Logger
  • Direct donation to ProjectAWARE for their Sharks and Rays in Peril Campaign

In 2017 we will continue to offer support to all of our partners as well as working in the local communities and spreading the word and about the work that we are doing and what we are working towards achieving.

Thank you, once again, for your support this past year. We can’t wait to see what 2017 will bring!

We wish you a happy and prosperous 2017.

With Gratitude,

GVI Mexico
