According to the World Health Organization, some of the main factors that prevent women from seeking or receiving treatment are poverty, distance to facilities, lack of information, and inadequate and poor services. This ultimately leads to child and maternal mortality.
We empower women by providing crucial health education and services that enhance and promote their health and wellbeing and that of their children. The program holds village-based maternal and child health clinics at the closest locality so that expectant mothers can attend comfortably. The program provides practical and well-illustrated education to ensure that they learn not only for themselves but can teach others. It also increases their participation in healthcare and will instill a sense of involvement and responsibility in the prevention, protection, and promotion of themselves, their families, and society. Women who have the resources have a low chance of their health status deteriorating because of their knowledge.
The objectives of the Maternal Child Health Program are:
In the first quarter of 2022, we have provided vitamin A supplementation to 3,898 children, conducted growth monitoring to 7,518 children, and dewormed 6,573 children.
Growth Monitoring through assessing of a child's height and weight is an indicator of a child's health and helps in detecting abnormalities at the earliest stage to allow correction and treatment.
Three thousand two hundred sixty Mothers have been educated on crucial health topics like nutrition, family planning, HIV/AIDs, Malaria, Hypertension, diabetes, and immunization and receive check-ups and treatment.
As the year progresses, we will continue reaching out to undeserved mothers and children in their locality to provide life saving interventions.
