Wow, 2023 was incredible for our MCH program! Let me tell you about it:

• HopeCore dewormed 3,391 children - safeguarding them from intestinal parasites and promoting optimal growth.
• 6,677 children were fully immunized, protecting them from preventable diseases.
• And to make sure those little ones thrive, our CHPs (Community Health Promoters) monitored 227 infants using MUAC measurement (a simple arm circumference check, a crucial tool for quickly identifying malnourished or growth-stunted children), catching any potential growth issues early on.

And guess what? We administered 4128 doses of Vitamin A, which is a shield against infections and blindness. Thus, you’ve helped build stronger immune systems, sharper vision, and a brighter future for each of them. You also helped 410 mothers embark on the journey of motherhood with antenatal care - nurturing healthier pregnancies and safe deliveries. But the magic doesn't end there – our Office Clinic educated 386 caregivers on children's nutrition practices and 7975 parents were educated during the village-based maternal-child health clinics.

Introduction
Step into the heart of Tharaka Nithi County and witness our service to Maternal and Child Health (MCH). This report unveils a remarkable journey throughout June, July, and August, highlighting the impact we've made.

Home-Based/Village-Based MCH Clinics
Our Village-Based Maternal Child Health Clinic (VBMCHC) represents a community-based health facility, offering maternal and child health services to the rural population. These clinics are crafted to ensure accessibility and affordability, with a strong focus on addressing the health needs of women, children, and families living in rural areas.

HopeCore's public health teams conducted mobile maternal child health clinics within the community, aligning with school holidays and utilizing the village-based approach. A team comprising one nurse, three community health officers, and one Community Health Volunteer (CHV) collaborated to extend these services within the CHV’s village. The primary beneficiaries included pregnant women and children under the age of five.

This quarter we attended 115 expectant mothers, held 107 clinics, and 782 individuals received Vitamin A, demonstrating our dedication to nourishment.

Static Clinic
Our Static Clinic facilitated the advancement of maternal and child health. We conducted 12 cervical cancer screenings throughout the quarter. Immunizations were administered to 712 children with growth monitoring sessions, an integral part of nurturing children.

Nutrition Clinic
Our Nutrition Clinic emerges as a platform for education, guiding mothers and children toward healthier lives. In the span of these three months, 63 children under the age of 5 years were seen at the clinic and their caregivers received nutrition health training. Our emphasis on nutrition education imparted knowledge on dietary practices that can transform lives.

Children under the age of five became the focus, showing how the community is actively looking for help and advice to make sure kids eat well.

Conclusion
In the second quarter of the year, Village HopeCore International has put in a lot of effort to help women and children. Our home-based and static clinics have dedicated themselves to this cause. We've assisted women during pregnancy, provided important shots, and shared health education. We truly care about the well-being of women and children. We are sincerely grateful for your support, which means a lot to our beneficiaries.
