Greetings!
Thank you again for your benevolant contribution to our COVID-19 Medical Supply Distribution. Your donation has been funnelled into additional funding that has been procured for this initiative to make a significant impact. Thanks to you, we have been able to provide basic medicines to a rural community in Diyun, Arunachal Pradesh which will serve 30 people per week over the course of several months. Our partner community in Diyun has very little access to primary medical care and require healthcare support.
A Success Story
A man called the Aarogya Seva Mental Health Helpline reaching out on behalf of his mother living in Belgarn, India. He explained that his mother was living with a pre-existing psychiatric condition and that they were facing difficulty in procuring her psychiatric medication during the COVID-19 quarantine. Her medicines usually came from a pharmacy in Maharasthra after a consultation with a doctor in that state and inter-state travel was a big roadblock in accessing care. Without this psychiatric medication, he coveyed that his mother was experiencing serious challenges to living comfortably. The AarogyaSeva team was able to facilitate a follow up video consultation with her psychiatrist, obtain an updated prescription and connect with district administration and police to procure the medicines locally. The Belgavi police were kind enough to hand deliver the medications to her doorstep in this time of need!
As the COVID situation continues to manifest and unfold, urban and rural communities that we provide healthcare support to will still need our help. We kindly ask you to consider sharing our page with your network to help us spread the word and reach more communities with health support during this time.
All the best to you!
