Medications for Children Cancer Units

One of the greatest challenges childhood cancer units face is the high cost of life-saving medications. Many families cannot afford the drugs their children urgently need, and unfortunately, donations received so far are very small compared to the actual demand.

With limited resources, hospitals and NGOs struggle to keep shelves stocked with essential medicines such as chemotherapy drugs, antibiotics, pain relief, and supportive care treatments. This shortage means children often face treatment delays, interruptions, or incomplete therapy—factors that can reduce their chance of survival.

Every contribution, no matter how small, helps bridge this gap. Even modest donations can cover a dose of chemotherapy, a course of antibiotics, or nutritional supplements that support a child’s recovery.

We are excited to share a brief update on the progress of our project, "Medications for Children Cancer Units." Thanks to your generous support, we have made meaningful strides toward ensuring that children undergoing cancer treatment in Ghana receive the lifesaving medications they need.

Over the past few months, we have successfully delivered essential chemotherapy drugs and supportive medications to two pediatric cancer units in Accra and Kumasi. These medicines are helping to reduce treatment interruptions and improve the quality of care for young cancer patients.

With your continued donations, we aim to expand our reach to more regional hospitals, ensuring that no child is denied treatment due to a lack of medication.
