This comprehensive report outlines a strategic approach we're using this 2024 to help youth recover from mental health issues, emphasizing awareness, accessibility, community engagement, and collaboration.

The youth in Mbarara are grappling with a surge in mental health issues intensified by the adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Economic uncertainties, social isolation, and disruptions in education contribute to the complex challenges faced by this demographic.

We're to Conduct a thorough assessment of the prevailing mental health challenges, considering demographic, socioeconomic, and cultural factors. Identify the key issues affecting the youth population in Mbarara.

2 Impact of COVID-19:

We will Analyze the nuanced ways in which the pandemic has affected mental well-being. Consider the socio-economic factors influencing mental health disparities. Understand the unique challenges faced by vulnerable groups.

Recommendations:

3. We will enhance Awareness and Education Programs:

We're Developing and implement comprehensive campaigns to destigmatize mental health issues. This includes:

• Workshops and seminars in schools and communities.

4. We're enhancing flexible Accessible Counseling Services:
