This project will offer an individualised, mobile, mental health package to a commonly neglected group of people when it comes to the discussion of mental health in the workplace - owners of small and growing businesses and tech. developers. It will last for one year and take into account their time capacity and convenience to help them develop mental health awareness, good well-being practices at work and most importantly, provide direct and on the hand support for their mental health needs.
In Nigeria, much of the work population is domiciled in the private sector, and a good majority of this is made-up of people engaging in small and medium enterprises. This unique population commonly gets exempt from mental health programs because of the lack of established working spaces as well as convenience, time and financial capacity to afford mental health and well-being programmes. This project will be curated for this group and will be offered remotely over the phone to fit their needs.
For every person we take on this project, we will setup an initial consultation call to understand their needs, time capacity and how we can better support them to build a custom mental health work plan. Then we will follow up with one hour calls twice for the first month, and one call every quarter for the rest of the year; while making sure they have access to our email newsletter, and direct access to our crisis support team.
This project will be available to more than 2,000 small businesses by the end of the year 2020 and will provide these businesses with the mental health education and support with their mental health needs.
