Thousands of vulnerable families, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and underserved communities in Nigeria lack access to basic healthcare due to conflict, poverty, and weak health infrastructure. This project will deploy mobile health clinics to reach hard-to-access communities and IDP settlements, providing free primary healthcare services, maternal and child health support, disease screening, essential medicines, and health education.
In conflict-affected and rural areas of Nigeria, health facilities are often unavailable or inaccessible. Displaced families cannot afford medical costs or transportation, leaving common illnesses untreated and maternal and child health at risk. Many women and children suffer or die from preventable illnesses simply because help is too far away.
This project will operate fully equipped mobile clinics staffed by qualified healthcare professionals to deliver essential services directly to vulnerable populations. Services such as primary medical consultations, maternal and child healthcare, malaria testing and treatment, distribution of essential medicines, treatment of common illnesses and infections, health education on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention, and referral of critical cases to partner health facilities.
This project will improve access to healthcare, reduce preventable deaths, and strengthen health awareness among vulnerable populations, including women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities.
