As the winter nears, we are raising $5000 to fully equip the Charmaghz Mobile Libraries with a heating system so children could have a cozy environment even when it snows. We believe that nothing should stop them from learning, neither the heat nor the cold. Also, after two years of operation, our Blue Mobile Library requires renovation. So we will repaint the exterior of the bus, replace the old furniture with new ones and add more exciting books to our collection.
As the Kabul winter nears, the cold makes the environment in our Mobile libraries and the Mobile Cinema less cozy and conducive for children. Additionally, the blue bus, our debut library, needs renovation-need to change the furniture and paint the exterior of the bus. Also, our libraries have had a limited collection of reading and educational material for children, which needs to be updated.
The money raised here will enable us to install heating systems in all our three buses (two mobile libraries and one mobile cinema.) Additionally, with this money, we will buy new material (books, magazines, games, movies, and other educational material) to add to our collection in our library and cinema. Moreover, your donations will cover the renovation costs for the blue bus, our debut library, which needs new furniture and paint after two years of successful operation.
With schools closed during winter, school children in Kabul struggle to find meaningful preoccupation during the three months winter recess. Our libraries and the cinema respond to that need in the winter and help maintain the educational and learning cycle throughout the year. For students in lower grades, that is even more critical to have access to sustainable learning opportunities, especially when they aren't going to school.
