Mentorship Can Change Life for Street Children

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Donors,

We sincerely thank the donors who have supported the Mobilize 50 Volunteers to Mentor Street Children project. Your support reflects care for children who live without guidance or protection. We truly appreciate the contributions received so far, however, the amount available at this time is still not enough to begin the training and mentorship activities.

Across many urban areas, children live on the streets without stable support or direction. They face daily challenges such as hunger, unsafe environments, and lack of access to education. Without trusted adults to guide them, many are left to navigate life on their own.

This absence of mentorship leaves children vulnerable to harmful influences and limits their chances of building a better future. Many have never had someone to teach, listen, or provide encouragement.

This project is designed to train 50 volunteers who will mentor small groups of street children. Through regular meetings, basic learning sessions, and consistent support, the volunteers will help guide these children and connect them to services such as education and care.

With steady mentorship, children can begin to feel supported, develop confidence, and make safer choices. Positive adult presence can help them move away from street life and begin to see new possibilities.

We are grateful for the support already shown toward this effort. With additional contributions, it will be possible to move forward and begin reaching these children with the guidance they need.

Sincerely,

Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
