Happy New Year Everybody!

We are filled with optimism and excitement as we begin another year to provide health care services and free adult literacy classes in Liberia.  We served 14,000+ patients and 43 literacy class students in 2022.  Over 14000 families were impacted by improved healthcare and 43 families received education and information to gradually move them out of the generational cycle of poverty.  We humbly celebrate our 37-year legacy of providing affordable healthcare and free adult literacy among marginalized communities. With the support of our awesome partners, coupled with the commitment of our long serving, highly qualified staff, Imani House Inc is fulfilling its goal of providing opportunities to improve livelihood among struggling families.  2023 offers new opportunities to build upon our experience while charting new/diversified avenues of service.  We aim to solidify our overarching goal to assist marginalized youth, families & immigrants to create vibrant neighborhoods where residents are decision makers who take responsibility for the improvement of their lives and surroundings by:

  • improving access to our clinic services through the revitalization of our monthly community outreach clinic to remote communities;
  • keeping our clinic properly staffed, equipped, furnished, supplied, and maintained;
  • improving the usage of our user-friendly bridge pi to share lifesaving health information with patients accessing our services and adult literacy students
  • utilizing our bridge pi to provide refresher training among our staff (Liberia offers very limited continuing education for healthcare workers)
  • discerning new ways to offer life-saving and life improving information from our Liberian Women Healthcare Manual through our literacy classes, the general community and during our daily clinic health talks.

 Keeping our clinic doors open affirms our commitment to ensure marginalized communities have access to affordable (and often times charitable) quality healthcare.  Offering free adult literacy classes for market women and men provides opportunities to move families from the cycle of poverty to improved livelihood.

We humbly invite you to join us by supporting:

  • the repair of our ambulance that is used for our clinic outreach activities among communities;
  • costs for purchase of clinic materials, supplies, and medicines;
  • care packages for expectant mothers;
  • outreach to recruit additional adult literacy students;
  • costs for adult literacy materials and supplies including chalk, pens, pencils and notebooks.

Thank you for your moral and financial support!
