Our greetings and well wishes for this New Year, 2017! Additionally, thank you for all your donations and continued generosity to Imani House Liberia Maternal and Child Health Care Clinic and Health Education Programs.
As a giver and supporter, we truly appreciate your commitment to the health and well being of Liberians. And, your acts of giving reflect your heart of kindness and generosity.
Your donations have allowed our programs to continue and some of those updates are below for you to review:
The Imani House Maternal and Child Healthcare Clinic turns 23; it serves m ore than 15,000 women, children and families each year. We also provide a mobile unit for remote areas.
Our Triage building partially renovated to provide screening during the Ebola outbreak was completed in 2016 and will soon be transformed into a vocational training center for women and men.
Our Health Education program will be expanded this year using the new IHI/Proliteracy book, “A Liberian Women’s Health Manual”, to provide health, sanitation, decrease infant mortality and human rights education to 500 women and girls in several locals.
Our Adult Literacy program are in high gear; in collaboration with a Women’s group, provides free classes geared to women in three locals that include Brewerville, St. Mary’s Catholic School (Dwala market) and Rally town market (Central Monrovia).
