Over 100 vulnerable children walk more than 10kms daily to and fro school.This risk children life since they live their guardian home as early as 5am and reach back home as late as 8pm.Project is setting up 4 dormitories to shelter the homeless and far living destitute children.Moonlight has been in the front-line providing education right from ECD, primary school to tertiary level to the residents of Uthiru and its environs.Moonlight is one of highly dependant rescue centre for children .
1.Orphaned Children. Due to unemployment and hopelessness, parents end up engaging in crime, illicit brews and irresponsible sexual indulgence which leads to death and they leave orphaned children as a result . 2.Poverty-The 80% of people living within uthiru community live life below a dollar due to unemployment. 3.Idleness among the Children and Youths resulting to consumption of drugs at tender age 4.Early pregnancy and spread of hiv aids among children.
-The project takes up vulnerable children and Provide them with shelter and decent education so as to impact their future lives positively. -The project will introduce higher education programmes that will equip the members with reputable credits that will eventually help them in seeking good jobs. -The project will engage youths through making them work in the project and get daily bread. -The project provide the children and youth guiding and canseling lessons about hiv aids pandemic.
1.Poultry farming-chicken are higly consumed here in kenya.This project generate income for sustainability of the orphanage. 2.Posho mill-Maize flour prices in the shops are becoming unaffordable as new prices are announced every now and then.This make people to opt grind maize to flour.We will provide the chargeable services to generating project income. 3.Tomatoe green house-Tomatoes are highly consumed here.when we set green house we will harvest tomatoes for market thus generating income.
